During the morning we will pick you up at the address/ hotel, to take you to the Chapels of Marble and all the environment that entails. We will start on the Carretera Austral until we reach Puerto Río Tranquilo. During the trip, we can appreciate the beauty of the road and its habitat, surrounded by native vegetation, forests of lenga, coigue and ñire. We will proceed to make a brief stop in the town of Cerro Castillo, where you can see Cerro Castillo (2,318 m) which is located in the national park of the same name. Cerro Castillo National Park, is noted for the protection of huemul, puma, guanaco, Patagonia chingue and red fox, among others.
Then we take the road back to Puerto Río Tranquilo, where we will take the boat that awaits us and take us on a tour of the General Carrera Lake to the marvelous Marble Chapels. The Chapels of Marble is a sanctuary of nature that formed over millennia of years product of the constant waves of the lake eroding and polishing the stones leaving caves of different shapes and sizes to reveal the beautiful layers of marble.
After the navigation, we will make a relaxing break, where we will have lunch in a restaurant in the area. Finally, we will return from Puerto Tranquilo to the city of Coyhaique.
